Opening of the Nancy Long Dining Hall at LaTrobe University, Bendigo

Nancy Long was dean of NDSN in its early years, and indeed for a large part of it's life. Nancy was instrumental in making it the success story it turned out to be.
LaTrobe University decided to honour her name by assigning it to the new dining hall at the Bendigo Campus in May 2013.

NDSN Memorabilia

If you have some spare time and would like to share some happy hours reminiscing as were cataloguing, we would be pleased to hear from you. Please contact Jenny Clutterbuck on (03) 5442 7857 or kayjay@netcon.net.au to register your interest. There is much to peruse, reminisce over and laugh at.

The NDSNGA Committee are keen to hear from anyone who was involved with Lister House as to what their feelings are about the memorabilia from their NDSN days. Currently student cards are housed at La Trobe University Bundoora whilst other memorabilia such as equipment, documentation and photographs are stored in inappropriate locations across Bendigo. The committee has received a grant from the City of Greater Bendigo to catalogue the memorabilia and find appropriate storage facilities for it. The NDSN was a unique school - the only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and preservation of the memorabilia is regarded as a high priority. There is no museum in Bendigo which is a bone of contention with many of the historical societies that have much memorabilia for storage.

Please let the committee know what you think and would you be able to assist with the cataloguing. There is much to peruse, reminisce over and laugh at.
